Actually, this doesn't even look like a literal translation. And it looks like it's translated from Cantonese, not Mandarin.
But I think the english part means, spend a little money to make yourself happy so you can sleep well, rather than holding on to your wealth but be sleepless (ref. the part abt opening your eyes to look at ceiling all night).
wah lau. i glanced at it, had a headache and gave up. whatever it's saying/selling, i ain't convinced!
wildgoose - yes. i got about the same drift as you :)
imp - i know. it is poor advertising and the dingy shop with the bad-tempered owner do not do much to inspire confidence either.
The chinese part actually means that money is not very important, so why hang on to it and be sleepless, instead, spend it on clothes and sleep well through the night rather than to be sleepless and stared at the ceiling whole night.
whahahahal...where is this place!
bunny - the chinese part is straightforward enough, but the poor author really has problem with English.
it's in a hdb shophouse in commonwealth.
i must say this sounds "poetic" in its own way, cannot understand! haha :P

edpj - u mean the english part is poetic in its own way? more like trying to use literary device like allegory and metaphor, but failing badly :)
Some of the words used are not that commonly used in Singapore. Think it's 繁体 rather than 简体.
And I'm not sure if the correct words are used too!
衭-? 服? 裤?
熧熧-? Is it supposed to be 匆匆 instead?
If you just substitute some of these words it may just make sense...
