Kebab Nite@Potpourri

(click on image for larger picture)

Just when we were wondering what to do on the weekend post Christmas and pre New Year's between two haflas, Potpourri and Stephanie came to our rescue.

This promises to be another unforgettable evening of exoticism - drinks, kebabs, shisha and Stephanie.

oh sorry i won't be there even if i could. i can't forget what a pain the restaurant owners were at my birthday. Not only was he coming to us incesantly about the noise level, he even poked his finger into what we could say and not (when daniel was coaxed to remove his top, he charged at me telling me we cannot use words like strip and all because it was a public place...wt*). when he felt that we did nothing about the noise level, he threatened my colleague he was goning to stage to pull the plug...apparently that almost caused him a fist. And when i was negotiating my birthday package, he asked me if I quote a belly dancer and i told him to look out for the one who was going to perform at my birthday, this was his reply "oh we only use Lebanese"!

So have a good evening, but i'm NEVER stepping into the place of hypocrites.

Only consolation was I still had a great party, great friends who came and we all made the evening real good

Eh... I was right about Potpourri liking the Indian fusion. Their tagline is "fashionably indian".

Hey ladies, I think we need to cut Potpourri some slack here. I found out the lady boss is an old friend and while I am not trying to defend their actions because I am dancing there (actually am trying to do them a favour ... long story), there is more to the story.

SuzieW - was shocked when you told me and I ask my friend about it and she was just as horrified. I think she would like the opportunity to talk this out with you ... maybe without the bloke at first. Of course, it is up to you but perhaps it might be good to settle this in goodwill, no? Xmas and all, ya know?

Anyway, sorry you can't make it as it would be fab to catch up again. But good that it is because you are busy with work! More work, more dosh!

And re the Lebanese dancer crack ... I sniff in his general direction.

Wildgoose - I fashionable, ah?

SinLady - hope to see you there and thanks for posting this! Was great seeing you last night. I had fun!

No worries, Steph, you owe us no story/explanation etc for dancing there. We are performing artist, we dance for who pays us.

But as to that night, I WAS the CLIENT. They have my number, I dun need settle anything of goodwill. But if they hint anything to you about compensating me, let me know, I'll call RIGHT away! :D
