Bali and Paul Ropp
We made our short 3-day turnaround visit to Bali for the Paul Ropp sale. Like we have done faithfully twice a year for the past 3 years.
This is, sadly, too many times for too many years. There is no new exciting clothing or accessories to be had this time. We spent 2 days going through the inventory. Still, nothing.
What saved the trip was the chance meeting of new friends. I have a good feeling about this couple. Time will tell.
We decided that we will skip Paul Ropp in February next year, and think carefully about the big sale next September.
Yes, something has changed in our love affair with Bali and Paul Ropp. So so sad...

sounds like an OD on too much of a good thing!
maybe its time to re-explore china or japan?
edpjunkie - u r exactly right about OD-ing on a good thing. but still so sad. japan may be next! i quite sian with cheena land, although beijing is a maybe after all the olympics.
Japan is probably a good choice. My frens and I were all saying we all want to visit Japan again soon.
wildgoose - when?? i just can't shake this thing about language problem if doing the trip on our own
maybe just need a bigger entourage to ransack the pace with you..hee
WG- i love japan too but got to have deep deep pockets to enjoy the shopping there lah...things so nice but so expensive.
Agree with SL about language thing, remember my "re-confirm" incident? Lol
SL - don't know when. It's a wish! :p It really wasn't so bad. If you can manage Bangkok on tuk-tuk, Japan should be no problem? Anyway, our experience is most of them will go out of the way to help you, by using sign language, or even drawing pix, even though they can't speak English.
suziewong - for sure will be so fun if u girls could come along
wildgoose - everybody says the same about how helpful the japanese are with tourists. will screw up the courage at some point to give it a go:)
