Last of the work place

Because I worked only 3 afternoons a week for the past 3 years.

Because I have never lunched with any of the staff at work.

Because I never socialised with the staff.

Because I have always kept my private life separate from work.

Because of the independent nature of my work.

Because I have had minimal contact with any staff in the organisation.

So it came to pass that as I packed ourselves out of the office early this week, I found that I am actually more sad to leave my machines than the people.

I feel as independently as a patron as you, an associate of that place. Each time i walk in, there are no greetings from the recption, no smiles, no "yes, can i help" to say the least. It's weird how they seem to know i come only to look for you, it's as if they know I'll never go there for teeth polishing or filling! They definitely don't believe in cross-selling lor .....

anyway, when you coming?

edpjunkie - may we all not have to go there again. and thanks :)

suziewong - it was a strange set up wasn't it? but it did work fine for several years. will set up date with u for next week. promise.

That's so sad. But i have to agree with Suzie Wong. Whenever I go there, asking for you by name, they give me the blank look, like they don't even know who works in the clinic. After a couple of times, I just walk past them. :p
